1. Who may use SkillBased

You must be at least 18 years old and physically located in a US state where skill-based contests for prizes are permitted. We verify your age at registration and your location whenever you deposit, withdraw, or enter a staked match. Accounts that cannot meet both conditions may still play in practice mode, with no stakes and no prizes.

2. Games of skill, not chance

Every contest on SkillBased is decided by the players' input. Outcomes are not determined by a random draw, and no wager is placed against the house. Entry fees are held in escrow, the winner receives the prize, and SkillBased retains the platform fee shown to you before you enter.

3. Your account

One account per person. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Sharing accounts, using another person's payment method, automating play, or colluding with an opponent are grounds for suspension and forfeiture of the affected entry fees.

4. Money, fees and withdrawals

Deposits and withdrawals are processed by our payment provider. Withdrawals require completed identity verification. We may hold a withdrawal while we investigate a suspected breach of these terms, and will tell you when we do.

5. Disputes

If a match ends in an unexpected state you may open a dispute from the match page. We review the recorded move log and either award the prize, void the match and refund both entry fees, or uphold the original result. Our decision on a disputed match is final.

7. Changes to these terms

We version these terms. When the version changes you will be asked to review and accept the new version the next time you sign in; continued play requires acceptance.
